The Journal of Creative Research Methods is a space for the creative research methods community; it publishes critical and engaged work on creative research methods and welcomes contributions from authors across all disciplines and sectors. We see creative methods as a field where researchers are thinking, questioning, or approaching research in a creative way, drawing from creative disciplines and practices, or extending these to other disciplines which have not traditionally foregrounded creative practices. Creativity is understood to happen across the whole process of research, so the journal brings together contributions that explore creative research design, ask questions about how research can be done creatively, creative forms of data analysis, and how research can be creatively disseminated and shared for impact, knowledge exchange, and social transformation. The journal also welcomes conceptual articles and articles that invite us to theorize in more expansive or creative ways about methods. The Editors understand methods as being at the intersection between theories, methodologies, epistemologies, and empirical fields.
