Walter Benjamin digital sees itself as a tool allowing readers to study Benjamin’s writings from different perspectives. Complementary to the commentary found in the book edition, the digital partial edition offers full-text searches filterable according to various categories. The manuscript and crossfadeable transcript display allows the reader to choose their own point of entry into the labyrinth of Benjaminian texts, as well as experiment with them with the aid of electronic tools. Texts can be selected and combined, in some cases stages of development can be retraced.
