Tidal is a freely distributed magazine that was born from a crack in capitalism: the occupation of Zuccotti Park in Fall 2011. Distributed at assemblies, actions, cultural events, schools, streets, and subways, Tidal is a strategic platform that weaves together the voices of on-the-ground organizers with those of longstanding theorists to explore the radical possibilities created by the rupture of Occupy and its aftermath. As it circulates hand-to-hand and link-to-link, Tidal aims to open space for political imagination, and to cultivate new bonds of critical solidarity between people by posing analyses, challenges and visions for emerging liberation movements in the United States and beyond.
